For our sport to survive we need your support. There are only a precious handful of young riders who have the talent and determination to be the new heroes of our sport.
One such rider is our 2009 AMA Horizon Award winner Mike Avila. Mike not only goes fast on the race track, but he also excels in school and has a great personality. In other words, he’s a great role model for our youth and the sport.
Mike's dad Jerry has done a great job raising his son and getting him to this level but now they need our help. When I say OUR help I mean everyone across America who cares about the sport. With rising costs and a weak economy negatively affecting traditional sponsors, it will be an epic challenge for Mikey and his Dad to contest the AMA Pro Sport series this year. There are 19 races scheduled throughout the U.S. and the costs for travel, entry fees, lodging and parts is in the tens of thousands of dollars.
So, to make Mikey’s dream come true we offer you an opportunity to be part of his quest to become the 2010 Pro Sports Champion.
We have set up a bank and PayPal account in Mike Avila's name to make it easy to contribute. These accounts will be used exclusively for direct race expenditures. If you make a sponsorship donation you will receive a personal letter of thanks from Mikey and an entry for the “Fan Of The Year” contest. Plus, your name will show up on Mike’s Sponsor Monitor at each GNC race. AND you’ll get advance copies of Mikey’s press releases from each race, so you’ll know what’s going on before the rest of the world. How cool is all that?
